The Third Book is now available

The third book of the Maria de Naglowska trilogy, "The Occult Mentors of Maria de Naglowska", is now available at the New Flesh bookstore (Bobs Storefront) at Lulu.com. It includes detailed studies of John Humphrey Noyes and the Free Love Spiritualists who are the true sources of Randolph's teaching. There is also more about P.B. Randolph, his mother Flora and his connection to Madagascar.

Also included are chapters on Montsegur, the Cathars and the Brotherhood of Polaires of which Maria was a member. The book's primary focus is on Julius Evola, the true master of the Sophiale's life. She became a member of Evola's Group of UR, which was funded by Mussolini's council to study Tibetan methods of magic. At the time of Maria's disappearance, she and Evola were experimenting with using the Tibetan technique of Phowa to displace a victim's soul in order to occupy the younger body.

Yes, The Rituals of the Brotherhood of the Golden Arrow by Maria de Naglowska is available through Lulu and the New Flesh Bookstore. This is the only English translation of the French and Italian text. The book represents the text which was used 1931-1936 by Maria in the Montparnasse district of Paris.

Maya Deren, Priestess of Erzulie Freda

Maya Deren existed as the greatest manifestation of the Voudoun family of Erzulie. Her presence is legendary. Here is a recent post detailing her importance as well as a perspective on Alexander Hislop and our most recent tyrant.

Before I get into my opinions on the subjects that you brought up, I want to recommend that you rent a DVD from Blockbuster about Maya Deren. Any initiate will really enjoy her biography DVD and her films. She was a Russian emigre who met Seabrook when she was a college student and went on to make the seminal Voodoo documentary in Haiti called "The Divine Horsemen". Actually, Her book of the same name came out first. Just google her name and you'll see what a profound artist/initiate Maya was---definitely my biggest hero of all time.

Anyway, my take on current politics/illuminati/Ron Howard movies and all that stuff (including the untalented and kinda dumb Dan Brown) is that we've been fooled again. I voted for Obama but I'm a sucker. I'm afraid that Barack (a word signifying prayer) is a modern version of Ronald Regan (I voted for him too). Obama is a hired gun/ mouthpiece for the bankers. I'm certain that history will confirm this. But, of course its not his fault. Like so many financial services people have told me, "hey, I got a family to support." This idea allows many individuals to act without conscience. That's why every conquering despot encourages men to sire families. This process creates more potential hostages to threaten the man to work harder for smaller wages. Bill Gates would be the most recent example of this. The (networked) PC is, in fact, a slave machine which hearkens back to the darkest days of the founding of the colony of New York by the "Dutch Masters" in the 16th century. At that time they relied on slaves to do the work. About half were Scottish and Irish (Known as indentured servants) and half were Africans. For the first 50 years both groups could purchase freedom. This took a lifetime but if they could purchase their freedom and then have children, the kids would be (supposedly) freemen. This only happened in a handful of cases. As time went by, the Africans were smart enough to see through this bullshit and so this right to purchase freedom was taken away from them.

You may wonder why the Scottish and Irish were targeted. The simple answer is that their economy was based on bartering. Many made "moonshine and bartered it for cattle, building materials, etc. Of course, that process makes it difficult for the ruling government to tax. When you have a money based economy, taxation becomes a simple deal. That's the curse that originated with the Roman Empire and it's clever use of taxation, torture and utilizing the family as hostages.

Just picture today---if a man was worth $10,000 and was paid $7.50 an hour and had to support his family and save to buy his freedom, it would take about a lifetime. In fact, thats the same plan that the banks (aka credit card companies) have planned for the American citizenry in 2009. Guess who is supporting the banks---Obama. I think that Pete Townsend got fooled again!

Now, Alexander Hislop is well worth studying, particularly The Two Babylons. But you've got to read a lot of the other philology/anthropology/colonial adventurism of the 19th century of his era. Drower, Forlong, Cumont, Massey and Sir Richard Burton (translator of the Arabian Nights as well as St. Yves-D'Avedre (and many more) were part of a movement of pseudo-history/science which sold books like the Beatles sold albums a century later. This stuff is great reading if you can dig the 19th century style of writing. It's filled with imagination (because of a desire to sell books) and unveils the true mentality of the reading public of the imperial colonial powers (primarily France and England with the German city states thrown in). The best approach to this material is to read it like a comic book. Its a wonderful, imaginary world which caters to, and reveals, our inner feelings and instincts. Hislp is aware of a Luciferian/Gnostic current which existed within the Roman Catholic Church (and later spread to the Eastern Orthodox Church) which probably began with Isaac of Luria and and Joachim of Fiora (the originators of the pre-adamite doctrine).

I hope you investigate these ideas. Learning can only come from suffering until one becomes an Arhat. An Arhat is one who thoroughly understands the Buddhist notion of the 5 Skandas. Re that, I refer you to my email on Emma Hardinge Britten (friend of PB Randolph and prominent sex magican):

Emma is such an important figure in the dawning awareness of the "world village" that British Colonialism unveiled---way more interesting than Sir Richard Burton or General Forlong. One of my favorites reads is Olcott's "Old Diary Leaves" but I wonder if anyone who participated in that famous New York meeting understood the intellectual gifts that Emma (with her British accent and habits) was bringing to the table.

Two Worlds might be the ultimate description of EHB's experience of this mortal coil. Conflict can make great art and I suspect that we will find a great deal of that quality as we come to know Emma better. Like HP Blavatsky, she is really a messenger, or harbringer, of things to come. Maybe that's psychism or maybe thats just intellect. I think that both HPB and EHB were challenged with the Pre-Adamite Doctinre (Elohim, Lilith, etc.). My reading of the various Pre-Adamite theories suggest that it is really 19th century code for bi-sexuality (which I am very much in favor of). Both Art Magic and Ghostland are written from a very masculine perspective---I believe that Emma is using her acting skills to write in this manner. She certainly does it very well.

The real historical importance of this stuff (in my opinion) is that East meets West. HPB and Emma and many other folks promote the western Abrahamic idea of the soul. Everybody's got one and that leads to an idea of the importance of individuality, America and capitalism. The only problem is that when HPB gets to India and finds that she's been scamed by Indo-Aryan nationalists, she gets the real scoop on Theravadin Buddhism (ala The Dhammapada). That southern Buddhist doctrine says that there is no such thing as a soul or a godhead, just the five skandas (usually translated as aggregates). In other words, the idea of individuality is an illusion much like the idea of a wooden table being a solid object. Its really a bunch of molecules moving so quickly that it only appears to be solid. In a like manner, Gautama Buddha suggested that there is no "I"---its just the illusion created by 5 separate systems (skandhas) in our human physiology. Try telling that to the Theosophical Society spiritualists who are sending you money!

This is the spiritual crisis of the 19th century so admirably summed up by Philologist Nietszche, "I could not believe that the old man did not know, God is Dead." (Thus Spake Zarathustra) In a world that received information through novels and periodicals, this must have been a tough sell. I think that Emma found a more attractive way to break the news than HPB.

Well, enough of my love affair with EHB. I don't know if you're familiar with the (Roman Catholic) doctrine of "celestification" but I think that our Priestess has achieved an immortality which Julius Caesar and Napolean can only envy.

This should give you something to chew on. Please check out Maya Deren. She might be the most important artist of the 20th century.

PS Abraham (or Abram, depending on your point of view) represents the first conjurer, or illusionist. The grand illusion is that there's one omnipotent guy (god) who can kick anybody's ass that you have to worship or he'll fuck with you. Sex Magic as Baby Making

I realise that most of you already know this. But, for Minervals. . .

PB Randolphs instructions on Sexual Magic originate with Isaac of Luria. this Rabbi was one of the Messianic Kabbalists who belived that the Messiah was about to manifest. His interpretation of Torah was that the duty of the "Priests of YHVH" was to make the created world a more beautiful place, suitable for the Messiah's arrival (Noble idea!).

This inspired Isaac to write a series of instructions for a married couple to have sex in a loving, affectional manner. The good rabbi theorized that a loving couple, embracing romantic affections and experiencing mutual orgasm would have a brighter and happier child (makes sense to me).

If one reads PB Randolphs "Sexual Magic" closely, this sentiment will become apparent. PBR, Max Bimstein and the HB of L folks merely extended the idea to a Faustian concept of reaping material rewards from following this basic "Joy of Sex" approach to eugenics.

Yeah. So, for all of you Sado/Satanic/Sex/Magicians (like me), the idea of prayer and orgasm to yield magickal results is actually (and I hate to admit it) A FAUSTIAN DEAL WITH MATERIALISM whereby the magician gets 20 years of material "things" in return for his soul. In plain terms, sex magic can only be practiced safely with a full awareness of the No-Mind doctrine of Gautama Buddha. About 500 BC, the Buddha explains (in the Dhammapada) that the ego is an illusion created by the 5 Skandhas. Knowledge of this reality qualifies one for the title of Arhat. If there are any Arhats reading this, I would love to hear from them.

Martinism, on the other hand, provided a body of knowledge exclusively studied by the French speaking mages, including MacGregor and Moina Mathers. We will present this body of teachings in English to elucidate this subject.

APHORISMS AND MAXIMS
of Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin
1. God is all; the tongue of God is the spirit; the tongue
of the spirit is science; the tongue of science should be
the learned man. But the ordinary man of learning is
like a signboard, and full too often of errors in
orthography, like the signboards of small shops.
2. Nature and the Scriptures should be compared. The
priests misread the Scriptures : the philosophers
misconstrue Nature. Hence they are always at war, and
never compare their differences.
3. When we speak of the Divine Sensibility, men tell us
that God's feelings are not as ours. But, this granted, it
is for us to strive that we may feel like Him, without
which we can in no wise become familiar with His
operations, and still less be numbered among His
servants. In truth, this Divine Sensibility is so absolutely
the one thing needful, that apart therefrom, we are
corpses, less even than stones, because stones abide in
their law, and are that which they should be, whereas the
soul of man was never designed to be a dead thing.
4. There is nothing more easy than to come to the gate
of truth; there is nothing more difficult than to enter it.
This applies to most of the wise of this world.
5. Great progress in truth is difficult in the midst of the
world and under the favour of fortune; duplicity and
double-seeming are needed in dealing with the one and
anxiety for preserving the other. Our rest is not
therefore in God.
6. It is in vain that we pretend to arrive at the fullness of
truth by reasoning. By this way we reach only rational
truth; still it is infinitely precious, and full of resources
against the assaults of false philosophy. The natural
lights of every man of aspiration have indeed no other
font, and it is therefore of almost universal use; but it
cannot impart that sentiment and tact of active and
radical truth from which our nature should derive its life
and being. This kind of truth is given of itself alone.
Let us make ourselves simple and childlike, and our
faithful guide will cause us to feel its sweetness. If we
profit by these first graces, we shall taste very soon
those of the pure spirit, afterwards those of the Holy
Spirit, then those of the Supreme Sanctity, and, lastly, in
the interior man we shall behold the all.
7. The sole advantage which can be found in the merits
and joys of this world is that they cannot prevent us
from dying.
8. It is easy to understand why wisdom is a folly in the
eyes of the world; it is because it shows by our own
experience that the world is a folly by its side; for where
is there a seeker after truth, however ardent, who has not
delayed by the way, and has afterwards regarded
himself as a fool when he has resumed the path of
wisdom?
9. If this world will seem to us, after our death, as
nothing but magical illusion, why do we regard it
otherwise at present? The nature of things does not
change.
10. Were I far from one loved and cherished, and did
she send me her picture to sweeten the bitterness of
absence, I should have certainly a kind of consolation,
but I should not have a true joy. So has truth acted in
regard to us. After our separation from her, she has
bequeathed us her portrait, and this is the physical
world, which she has placed before us to alleviate the
misery of our privation. But what is the contemplation
of the copy compared with that of the original?
11. "All is vanity," says Solomon; but let courage,
charity, and virtue be excluded from this teaching;
rather, let us raise ourselves towards these sublime
things, until we are able to say that all is truth, that all is
love, that all is felicity.
12. The learned describe nature; the wise explain it.
13. Never persuade yourself that you possess wisdom in
virtue of mere memory or mere mental culture. Wisdom
is like a mother's love, which makes itself felt only after
the labours and pains of childbirth.
14. Whatsoever is not wisdom only debauches man.
With her he is fitted for all things, for the sentiments of
nature, for lawful pleasures, for every virtue; in her
absence the heart is petrified.
15. It should be regarded as a grace of God when we are
stripped successively of all human supports and
succours, on which we are always too ready to depend.
Thereby He compels us to repose only on Him, and
herein is the final and most profound secret of wisdom.
How can we be dejected at learning it?
16. Had we the courage to make voluntarily the sincere
and continual sacrifice of our entire being, the ordeals,
oppositions, and evils which we undergo during life
would not be sent us; hence we should always be
superior to our sacrifices, like the Repairer, instead of
being almost invariably inferior to them.
17. As our material existence is not life, so our material
destruction is not death.
18. Death is the target at which all men strike; but the
angle of incidence being equal to the angle of reflection,
they find themselves after death in their former degree,
whether above or below.
19. Fear walks with those who dwell upon death, but
those who think of life have love for their companion.
20. Death should be regarded only as a relay in our
journey; we reach it with exhausted horses, and we
pause to get fresh ones able to carry us farther. But we
must also pay what is due for the stage, already
travelled, and until the account is settled, we are not
allowed to go forward.
21. The head of old was subject to the ruling of the
heart, and served only to enlarge it. Today the scepter
which belongs of right to the heart of man has been
transferred to the head, which reigns in place of the
heart. Love is more than knowledge, which is only the
lamp of love, and the lamp is less than that which it
enlightens.
22. The man who believes in God can never fall into
despair; the man who loves God must sigh incessantly.
23. Love is the helm of our vessel; the sciences are only
the weathercock on the capstan. A vessel can sail
without a weathercock, but not without a helm.
24. Science separates man from his fellows by creating
distinctions with which prudence often forbids him to
dispense. Love, on the contrary, impels men to
communicate, and would establish everywhere the reign
of that unity which is the principle from which it
derives. The Repairer spoke nothing of the sciences, for
he came not to divide men; he spoke only of love and
the virtues, for he wished them to walk in unison. But
science does not divide merely, it tends also to pride;
love, on the other hand, does more than join together, it
keeps man in humility. Hence St. Paul said that
knowledge puffs up, but charity edifies.
25. Science is for things of time, love for divine things.
It is possible to dispense with science, but not with love,
and by love will all be fulfilled, for thereby all began,
and thereby does all exist. I would that all the teachings
of the doctors of wisdom began and ended with these
words : Love God, and you shall be learned as all the
sages.
26. For our personal advancement in virtue and truth
one quality is sufficient, namely, love; to advance our
fellows there must be two, love and intelligence; to
accomplish the work of man there must be three love,
intelligence, and activity. But love is ever the base and
the fount in chief.
27. Hope is faith beginning; faith is hope fulfilled; love
is the living and visible operation of hope and faith.
28. For most men life is made up of two days; in the
first they believe everything, and in the second nothing.
For some others life also has two days, but what
distinguishes them from ordinary men is that in the first
they believe only in illusions, and these are nothing;
while in the second they believe in everything, for they
believe in truth, which is all.
29. The Gospel sufficiently impresses on us that the
reward of many is with them in this world, whence they
have little to expect in the other. This sentence, which,
although severe, seems neither cruel nor unjust, has
several degrees which it is well not to confound. There
are men who will have received their entire recompense
here below, others the half only, and yet others a fourth
part. Thus the measure of compensations obtained in
the present life will regulate the giving or refusing of
those in the other. After this the expectations of the rich
and happy on earth may be inferred easily.
30. When deliverance has been accomplished, time is
still required for self-correction and self-purification. In
ceasing to be damned one is not therefore saved, and
this is why there are two judgments in the Apocalypse.
31. Believe not that the joys of the soul are a chimera,
and that the goods we acquire in this life are lost utterly.
The soul in no way changes its nature by leaving this
mortal body. If given over to evil, it receives the
punishment thereof by sinking further therein. But if it
have loved goodness, and have at times experienced the
secret delights of virtue, it will partake of them with
increasing rapture. It has known here below the
ravishments caused by the contemplation of things
which transcend it. It seems as if nothing on earth can
afford it like felicity; it seems even as if earthly
pleasures had no existence. It may rely upon the same
transports in the superior region; yet more, it may count
upon joys beyond measure and uninterrupted delights
when this gross material part shall no longer soil its
purity. If it be thus, let us by no means neglect life; the
greater our care for the soul here, the better shall be our
estate hereafter.
32. The law of spirit and of fire is to go up; the law of
matter and of bodies is to go down. Hence, from the
first moment of their existence, corporeal beings and
beings corporised materially tend to their end and
reintegration, each in their class.
33. The locality of the soul has been a subject of
frequent dispute; by some it has been placed in the head,
by others in the heart, by yet others in the solar plexus.
Were the soul an organic and material particle, there
would be reason in assigning a place for it, as it would
be possible that it should occupy one. But if it be a
metaphysical entity, how can it be localized physically?
Its faculties alone would seem to possess a determined
seat - the head for the functions of thought, meditation,
judgment, and the heart for affections and sentiments of
every kind. As for the soul itself, since its nature
transcends both time and space, its correspondences and
abode in space escape calculation.
34. God is a fixed paradise, man should be a paradise in
motion.
35. Peace is found more often in patience than in
judgment; hence it is better that we should be accused
unjustly than that we should accuse others, even with
justice.
36. The Holy One quitted that which was above that He
might come and restore us to life; we are reluctant to
leave that which is below that we may recover the life
which He has brought to us.
37. Work for the spirit before asking the food of the
spirit; he who will not work, let him not live.
38. The greatest sin which we can commit against God
is to doubt His love and mercy, for it is questioning the
universality of His power, which is the persistent sin of
the prince of darkness.
39. The most sweet of our joys is to feel that God can
wed with wisdom in us, or rather that without Him
wisdom can never enter us, nor He without wisdom.
40. All men who are instructed in fundamental truths
speak the same language, for they are inhabitants of the
same country.
41. Men neglect habitually to study principles; and
hence, when they have need to consider the
development and functions of principles, they are
astonished that they fail to understand them. But they
believe themselves to have provided for everything by
creating the word "mystery."
42. Man's head is raised towards heaven, and for this
reason he finds nowhere to repose it on earth.

our journey through this earthly vale. But those who do
not possess pass through it all the same, and this is

44. The keynote of Nature is reluctance. Her unvaried
occupation seems to be the withdrawal of her
productions. She withdraws them even with violence to
teach us that violence gave birth to them.
45. Who is the innocent man? He who has acquired all
things and has lost nothing.
46. Preserve through all things the desire of the
concupiscence of God; strive for its attainment, to
overcome the illusion which surrounds us, and to realise
our misery. Strive above all things to keep through all
things the idea of the efficacious presence of a faithful
friend who accompanies, guides, nourishes, and sustains
us at every step. This will make us at once reserved and
confident; it will give us both wisdom and strength.
What would be wanting unto us if we were imbued
invariably with these two virtues?
47. We see that the earth, the stars, and all the wonders
of Nature operate with exactitude and following a divine
order; yet are we greater than these. 0 man! respect
thyself, but fear to be unwise!
48. The more we advance in virtue the less we perceive
the defects of others, as a man on the summit of a
mountain, with a vast prospect about him, beholds not
the deformities of those who may dwell on the plain

tender interest in those who, although beneath him, are,

49. All the impressions which are made on us by Nature
are designed to exercise our soul during its term of
penitence, to prompt us towards the eternal truths shown
beneath a veil, and to lead us to recover what we have

they become ladders of ascent when we rise above them,
and the wisdom which makes us their subject has no

principle be acknowledged in the sensible universe,
equally distinct and superior, though deputed specially
to govern it?
75. I leave the unenlightened and shallow man to
murmur at that justice which visits the trespasses of the
parent upon his posterity. I will not even point to that
physical law whereby an impure source communicates
its impurities to its productions, because the analogy
would be false and invidious if applied to what is not
physical. But if justice can afflict the children through

we are admitted to the councils of wisdom.

Walpurgisnacht. This is the night when the witches mount their broomsticks and travel to the Sabat. They dance and feast and fuck til dawn. Great acts of magick and dizzying states of erotic ecstasy combine to create a rift in the walls of time and space whereby the Great Old Ones may enter.

Maria de Naglowska, the self styled "satanic woman", was born in Russia in 1885. This was the year which saw the “Coulomb Letters” scandal which rocked the Theosophical Society. Madame Blavatsky was accused by her housekeeper of forging the teachings of her Himalayan Masters. In London, W. Wynn Westcott, a coroner for the city, was making plans to inaugurate the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a secret society which would teach the practice of ritual magic. Oscar Wilde visited Paris and, influenced by the Decadent movement, began plans to write Salome. Nietzsche was completing his epic work, Thus Spake Zarathustra. Wagner was in vogue and Sar Peladan, Stanislaus de Guaita and other French Rosicrucians were experimenting with drugs and magic. Huysmans had just published Against Nature, the bible of decadence. Georges Gurdjieff and Willie Seabrook were born in that same year.
Maria spent her youth in a chateau in the Carpathian mountains with her family. It was during this period that her mystical temperment was formed against the background of the wild and isolated terrain where pagan cults still held their sway. She heard tales of the Khlysty, the Skoptzi, the Prygouny, the Chalapoutes and the Nemoliaky. These cults preserved, in a degraded form, the remains of pre-Christian orgiastic ceremonies that had lost their sacred honor and now incorporated themes of the new faith while retaining the ancient practices. The underlying belief was that a man could assume the nature of Christ and a woman could assume the nature of the Virgin Mary through the transfiguring descent of the Holy Spirit during a secret midnight ceremony. The participants, both men and women, wore only a white garment over their nakedness. While chanting invocations, they would begin dancing in a circle. The men would form a circle in the middle moving clockwise while the women would form a circle on the outside moving counter-clockwise. As the dancing became more giddy and wild, some of the dancers would leave the circle and begin dancing alone, possessed and frenetic. Like the Arab whirling dervishes, they would spin in circles as their bodies rise and fall. To increase their frenzy, the men and women would whip each other in erotic ecstasy. At the peak of this exaltation, the participants began to experience the descent of the Holy Spirit. Both men and women would strip off their white garments and copulate promiscuously in religious ecstasy.
A young woman was chosen at the Harvest as the personification of the divinity and a symbol of generative power. She was worshipped both as Mother Earth and as the Holy Virgin of Christianity. She would appear wholly naked and become the focus of a ritual involving the young men of the village.
It is interesting to note that in these sects, sex was severely restricted to ritual and ecstatic use; in every other respect these cults professed rigid asceticism and condemned carnal love and even marriage itself. The Skoptzi were so extreme in their asceticism that they prescribed castration as a show of religious devotion. This was an echo of a cult of the Goddess Cybele in ancient Phrygia. Her castrated priests dressed as women and travelled from town to town performing lewd and lascivious entertainments in return for alms.
The Khlysty became well known in Russia because the staretz Gregori Rasputin had been a member of the cult. The title staretz means “old saint” while Rasputin is derived from rasputnik, or “dissolute”. His influence over the Tsar was widely spoken of and before he was finally assasinated, he survived massive quantities of poison and revolver bullets at close range. His own words were “I have come to bring you the voice of our holy Mother Earth and to teach you the blessed secret which she has passed on to me about sanctification by sin.”

Please be advised: The Mystery of the Seven Palms is a XXX Graphic Novel and will probably offend some readers. It shows nudity and deals with the subject of sex magick. It contains religious imagery, magickal invocations, stories about black magick, mutilation, humiliation and dominance. Beneath the weirdness there is wisdom. The book reminds one of an old alchemical treatise with mysterious pictures. This book is a teaching aid for personal instruction in sex magick. It is important to remember that each picture has an esoteric significance as well as an outer veil.

Emma is another character in the book. In many ways, she is like a big sister to Maria. Emma was certainly the sexiest spiritualist. She knew Madame Blavatsky. One can only attempt to visualize the astral meeting between these two very powerful women.

Emma Hardinge Britten is, perhaps, the most renowned and most respected advocate and proponent in the early Modern Spiritualist Movement.
She was the daughter of Captain Floyd Hardinge, whom writers call a seafaring man. Early in her life, she had shown gifts as a musician, singer, and speaker. In fact, at age 11 she was earning her living as a music teacher.
Under contract with a theatrical company, she went to America in 1856 where, through the mediumship of Miss Ada Hoyt (Mrs. Coan), she became converted to the Spiritualist philosophy. There, she began developing her own abilities as a medium and sat publicly for the Society for the Diffusion of Spiritual Knowledge of New York (what a wonderful name).
As a young medium, she furnished one of the best attested cases of early Spirit return. A member of the crew of the mail steamer, Pacific, which had sunk in the ocean, controlled young Emma and, in trance, disclosed the facts of the tragedy. Because of the nature of the details given through her mediumship, Emma Hardinge was threatened with prosecution by the owners of the boat when the story was made public, but all the details were found to be true and accurate.
Her mediumistic gifts embraced automatic and inspirational writing, psychometry, healing, prophecy, and inspirational speaking. She was best known for her inspirational addresses, which were very eloquent, inspiring, and informative. They were given completely extempore, and the subject was generally chosen in the auditorium by a committee from the audience.
Most historians agree that, as a propagandist for Spiritualism, she was unequaled in her zeal, commitment, and enthusiasm. For years she traveled all over the United States, Canada, England, Australia, and New Zealand, expounding the truths of Spiritualism and related areas of thought.

The Evil Demon Lilith in South Beach

This is the most vile and wicked Demon in The Mystery of the Seven Palms, Lilith. I know you've already heard the stories of cradle robbings and baby roastings --- that gory scene is one of the highlights of the graphic novel. I think Aleister Crowley is the Barbeque Master (the closest to Baphomet I could get). He's roasting an OTO Minerval. He likes them by the batches.

Anyway, Lilith is the hostess of this witches' sabbath in the Vault of the Adepti. Aiwaz, Bes-na-Maut and the usual suspects are there. I believe that the problem starts when Mathers refuses to eat the BBQ and upbraids AC for roasting a Theosophist's child. He says the meat is too fatty for him. Similar hilarities break out amongst the Magi and an orgy ensues. What a surprise!

Maya Deren, perhaps best known as a film maker whose credits include "The Divine Horsemen" (Film and Book), worked briefly for William Seabrook as assistant submissive in his B & D psychic experiments. In Paris, Seabrook experimented with breath play in the company of Maria de Naglowska. It is not known who initiated this work which later became Maria's "Ritual of the Hanging". We do know that Seabrook was infatuated with the relation of breath control with spiritual vision as is outlined in his book, "Witchcraft". Japanese Rope Bondage, illustrated here, is a form of breath control. The ropes breath with the submissive in a restricted manner determined by the master. Out of the body experience is a common occurence in this situation.

Maya Deren is an important member of the New Flesh Palladium. Her visionary talents ultimately allow the first post-mortem communication with Maria de Naglowska.

The Strange Life of Maria de Naglowska

Maria de Naglowska was the most facile spokeswoman of the "third term of the
Divine Feminine". In an era when male prophets proclaimed a
sexual path to enlightenment through the worship of God as Woman,
it is only Maria de Naglowska who finds the courage to express
her revelations in a frank and explicit manner. While her life
may recall a similarity to her predecessor Helena Petrovna
Blavatsky, we should remember that HPB advocated sexual
abstention and went to some lengths to prove her own physical
virginity. Maria, as we shall see, took a different path.
It was with a serene audacity that Maria de Naglowska
attacked the social and spiritual prej udices which plagued the
occult destiny of woman. As a great Initiate, she began her
prophetic mission to teach the exoteric and esoteric aspects of
sexuality in a movement of the Luciferian religion. She
therefore organised a sect, the "Confrerie de la Fleche d 'Or",
the Brotherhood of the Golden Arrow, and promoted her teachings
by public presentations and through her revue/ newsletter, "La
Fleche" (The Arrow). Henri Meslin, in his Theory and Practice of
Sexual Magic, writes "Maria de Naglowska began her apostleship
at Montparnasse in 1931. With a rare talent, she preached the
future of a new era, the redemption of Satan, the enlightenment
of sexual magic, the religion of the Divine Mother and the cult
of the priestesses of love. She publicly initiated two of her
devotees in a chapel in the montparnasse quarter with a splendid
ceremony to which journalists were invited.
Meslin also says, "According to
Maria de Naglowska the door of heaven is opened by sacred sexual
